Buffalo Maritime Center artisans and an army of 200+ volunteers have been working for four years to finish their construction of the Seneca Chief replica.

In mid May the big day came . . . and hundreds came to see the boat get hauled out of the Long Shed and transported to

the port of Buffalo, where port employees carefully choreographed the lift and the gentle splash.

Tugboat CL Churchill then towed the replica back over to the Commercial Slip.
