Let’s go back two months, almost exactly. Mike Riley sent me this image, Seneca Chief passing the Seneca River dock where Lois McClure was awaiting her next move. I’ll bet if we returned to this location today, there’d be no leaves on the trees, it’d be forty degrees colder, snow might cover the dock, and Mike would not be wearing his cutoffs.

Here is the reciprocal image, Lois McClure back two months ago, photographed from Seneca Chief.

I’m not sure who the other photographer on the dock is, but below that is certainly Mike, with his work cutoffs! The correspondent aboard Seneca Chief is none other than Brian Trzeciak, executive director of Buffalo Maritime Center, alluded to here and in other posts.

Many thanks to Brian for permission to post these images. More Lois McClure and Seneca Chief to come.

Happy December. Today is the first day of meteorological winter.
