Another attempt was made today to get Lois McClure into her berth, but was a no-go. The photo below shows the landing site as of 11/22.

Here’s where the tow will pull off the Thruway,

travel through lock 52,

and then make its way to the cradle.

Last Thursday, a number of invitees waited inside Erie House for the canal boat to arrive. Unfortunately, it didn’t.

To remedy the situation, the trailers were covered in plastic to allow the air brake lines to dry out.

For now, we wait. If a series of conditions are met tomorrow, the move could happen tomorrow.
