But first, I hope to see you at the Symposium Saturday. I’ll be at the check-in desk. And second, to answer the questions of the previous post, the first winter symposium was in 1996, making this Saturday’s event a big anniversary, the 30th year. The first “study tour” was in July 1957, coincidentally, in the area of Port Byron, Montezuma, and Clyde. See the newspaper clipping at the end of this post. It seems that next year, given that it’s a big 70th anniversary of these events, deserve an extra special program, but of course they’re all extra special in my experience.
