Steve Boerner caught these photos of Seneca Chief at the Hulberton Bridge.

Can anyone comment on the musicians here? Did other sights and sounds from boat and bank capture the experience of the voyage passing through canal towns?

Steve followed along into Brockport as well. Has anyone made or heard of others’ estimates of the numbers of people along the banks and in the towns? Please comment in the area at the end of this post.

Bruce Schwendy was on the scene in Rochester yesterday and

toured Seneca Chief again. Donna Schwendy gets credit for the photo below.

Bruce reports that he and other visitors were given a wooden blank of their choice: white oak, ash, cherry, etc.

Then they receive instructions to operate a hot iron press to emboss this logo.

Today, the flotilla will move toward the east. Remember that Dispatches is inviting folks to report on all the sights, sounds, and other noteworthy details of the voyage, both from the bank and the interior of the boat.

Many thanks to Steve Boerner and Bruce and Donna Schwendy for this report.
