Lee Rust, a local resident, Canal Society member, and canal aficionado, toured Seneca Chief while it was in Rochester.

What I like about the photos Lee has sent is the diversity of Rochesterians out to see the flotilla.

Lee writes “local tribal member and educator Trish Corcoran on hand to discuss those issues, and while we were resting on a riverside bench she approached to give us an impromptu display of several beaded wampum belt interpretations of local indigenous history. In the attached photo, she’s holding a piece that symbolizes the hope of peaceful cooperation and coexistence between the Five Nations and the United States.” 5.

Many thanks to Lee for passing along these photos.
To keep up and organized with the flow of photos, I will post again later today. Dispatches hopes to continue documenting the transit of Seneca Chief. Please keep the photos and text coming.
