Dispatches has featured posts about lots of significant gatherings, and although we have photos, we lack much historical record, like what folks ate in these gatherings. For example, at this gathering in Clyde NY in 1906, what was served? In the 1950s cruise on the Dayliner, what snacks were consumed? At the two gatherings featured in Glass Plate Negative Tales, what was carried in the picnic basket?
We are fortunate that the ceremony of opening the Lois McClure exhibit was documented in photos and text. Food served was noteworthy as well. This post focuses on that, though unfortunately I can serve only views and not tastes.

The official Lois McClure CAD image owned by the CSNY was transformed into a noteworthy edible treat.

This led me to wonder about past edible logos and text on previous CSNY events.

The treats here were the product of Pam’s Cakes and Sweets in Pittsford NY.

Unrelated, today is opening day for the current NYS Canals. I’d love to post some photos from from correspondents capturing today’s traffic on the Canal. Send to this address: canalsocietyofnysphotos@gmail.com
